Oh, I happen to have a last bunch of PET boards plus another bunch of drive 
boards from 3040/4040 drives that I'm not likely to fix. At least the drives 
react on the IEEE bus which would suggest the driver chips are OK even if 
something else is broken. I figure shipping costs would be a bit prohibitive 
and I'm too sloppy with a soldering iron to successfully desolder chips from 
boards. If you want to give it a try, send me a note and I'll look more 
closely. Or somebody else for that matter, perhaps Matthew also would like 
to put his hands on some chips if I have 'em.
