There should be 2040 schematics on Zimmers'.  The 2040, 3040, and 4040 are 
the same machine.  I have one 4040, but it is on the bottom of the stack.
I'll try to get it out in the next few days.

When turned on, the drive motors should come on, and all the lights flash, 
and then turn off.

For the boards that do nothing, check the voltage regulators.

The 2040/3040/4040 drives use the same blink code as the other Commodore 
drives.  For the boards that send garbage, check the IEEE bus drivers at 
UB1, UB2, abd UD2.
