I was thinking of something a little simpler in software, maybe 
redirecting the keyboard vector and using the CMD routines to
handle user I/O through an IEEE<>RS232 adapter, or even the
user port. Memory-mapped video would be a problem of course, 
but ordinary line-by-line text should be doable.
