It seems my last email didn't make it to the list. The most exciting
news in that one is that I implemented the feature to choose which image
to use. I for myself therefor consider this part of the project closed;
for me it was to see if connecting a harddisk in this way could work at
all.
Next step is to work directly with the images on the harddisk: instead
of transferring data from/to the floppy, it is read/send from/to the
image. The floppy drive is maintained for creating images and to use it
in case of incompatabilities. The idea is to keep the original Kernal as
original as possible. Removing the Format routine should give me enough
space (this part of the project is why I asked for a short format
routine some time ago).
