Yes, I would have thought, too. Anyway, I know that André has done this
modification of a 1541 before, and this schematic shows the same
unconnected lines.

You mean in the ROM code, right? I would check a real 2031LP, but
unfortunately, I do not own one.

I also thought that these "connections" might be from another drive
(4040, 8050, or something similar), where these lines were connected.
This part of the schematic might have been copied, without removing the
now unused parts.
