Oh, that reminds me.  I blew the 6510 in my C64 by hot-swapping tape
drives (to avoid of azimuth problems when copying tapes).  The
processor would hang when writing to tape (after already blanking the
screen, of course).  I remember a couple of other cases where the
on-chip I/O port of the 6510 broke, making the bank switching fail.
