I have a bad 390059-01 / 4485 character ROM chip on a C128CDR USA 
motherboard.

Can I replace with any Commodore 128 character ROM chip?  What other chip 
ID numbers should I be looking for?

FYI - On the Austrialian C128cdr the chip is marked "390059-01 / 1387 22" 
The chip is soldered into the board so I can't remove it to test.

I am also working on this problem on my end, will post answer if I find 
it.  I have a schematic, but not a list of the possible chip replacements.
