Ehh, swapping it with a SFD1001 one should work ???

IIRC I have a loose 4040 board laying around. I'll check if at least its
6530 is working. If not, I have a second 4040 laying around as well, but
some where deep in the 'dungeons'. But I hope you understand that I only
can lent the 6530 of this 4040 to you. But long enough to test various
things with your 4040 or to figure out how to replace the 404 with a
6532/EPROM combination :) If this idea works with a KIM, why not with
another device. But be aware, the 6530 is a customised IC, not only in the
way its internal ROM is programmed but also in the way it can be addressed!

Just one thing, due to work I don't have much free time, so you have to
give me some days.
