Questions about the PET2001 and 4032

Hallo allemaal,

I own a PET2001-8 with the small keyboard. The -16 and -32 are equiped with
the big keyboard (AFAIK). I just realised that my PET cannot be expanded on
the original MB. But I have a kind of expansion module proving extra RAM and
slots for cards.
So my 1st question: what kind of MB's do the other PETs have?

According the site of Bo the FAT 4032 has the same MB as the 30xx. But I
received two Fat 40's both with the same boards as the 8032-SK. In one case
the owner enabled the machine to start up in 40 or 80 chars/line mode.

If this is not original, then why did Commodore make those 8032 boards that
enabled one to start up in 40 chars mode if it is not used at all (AFAIK)?

Thanks for answering my questions!
