My first electronics project (some 18 years ago) was a reset switch built
inside a serial bus DIN connector. I removed the flexible jacket from
the end of the connector and mounted a push-button there. When pressed,
the button should connect pins 2 and 6, if I remember correctly.

Older C64s will be reset when you attach the button-connector to the free
connector of the drive and push the button. Newer C64s won't reset, so there
it'll only be a drive-reset.

Of course, you can also build the switch inside the drive. But where are you
going to mount the switch? The OC-118N has a very compact case, and it is
pretty crowded inside.
