As a kid, I was told that you would get warts from handling toads,
whereas it was okay to touch frogs....
To this day, I do not know if this is so.
As to the hard cased animal in the fairy tale, I believe that refers to
the tortoise who had a race with the hare, and ultimately won because of
his persistence.
I think tortoises and turtles differ, but I am not sure of the
particulars. Maybe tortoises are big and old turtles?
And, speaking of computer names, I wonder how many of us here have names
for our computers?
My computer is named Hal. Not very original, but I like it.
