If this is the "G64" (for GCR 64) format that has been talked about a while
ago, then yes, VICE supports it.

The G64 format is the result of a common effort of emulator
programmers to find _one_ file format, flexible, space saving, and yet 
complete, that can be used by all the emulators.
I know of no other format for GCR coded images.
