Ok, here is the /etc/fdprm entry for the cbm1581.  man setfdprm and read
the Linux floppy driver source code for details.

It's a program that reads and writes various different Commodore-related
file formats, including 1541, 1571 and 1581 disk images (normal, GEOS and
C128 CP/M).  You can get it from
http://www.funet.fi/pub/cbm/crossplatform/converters/unix/ or from
.../msdos/ (a 32-bit executable created with djgpp).
