Today, I switched back to my <a title=\"Casio WV-58E-1AVEF\" href=\"http:\/\/www.casio-europe.com\/euro\/watch\/waveceptor\/wv-58e-1avef\/\">old Casio watch<\/a>, which is not quite as smart, even if it does keep correct time by reading the <a title=\"DCF77\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/DCF77\">Frankfurt time signal<\/a>, and has a battery that lasts for years, not just hours (I have to charge the LG every night).<\/p>\n<p>But it is interesting how fast habits form. After replacing the smartwatch with the old dumbwatch,\u00a0the instinct when the phone buzzes from a message is to look at the watch face to see what it is, rather than at the phone itself.<\/p>\n<p>BTW, since I really did like the Casio watch, <a title=\"A41 WatchFace for LG G Watch R\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=net.ddroid.aw.watchface.ra41\">this watch face<\/a> in the Android Play store\u00a0really won me over.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I bought myself a LG G Watch R smartwatch earlier this year.\u00a0While some of its functionality has been disappointing (step counter not remembering steps, voice commands not working as expected), I have become used to having it on.
