It uses 250 out of 256 positions in a character set. I wonder if there's
timing enough to shift character set in the middle of the screen. The
displayable area in PAL anyway is about 112x256, isn't it? It would
require 7 kB only for the character data - ouch.

The current viewer gets 100x160, and in VIMMII it is accomplished on 
an *unexpanded* machine, if anyone haven't seen it yet.
