    I'm surprised: In http://staff.washington.edu/rrcc/uwweb/1750/Schem-l.jpg,
I see U18 as 27128/27256 EPROM. Although I have programmed a REU before and
read the user's manual, I did not know that there is an EPROM socket
    inside a REU!

    What is it used for?

    Curious,
       Spiro.
