Hi all has anyone if you live in the United States ever had a problem with
the
Datel Midi interface not being recognized by any C64 Midi software?
This is a good device but mine is not recognized.

I seem to remember a guy 30 years ago that had a similar issue his name is
Frank Prindle he was mainly into the old Compute Gazette Enhanced Sid music
mainly the
later Stereo Editor did more or less support Midi.
Frank tried his Datel with the Stereo Editor but it wasnt recognized, which
Im having the
same issue with mine.

I believe I had found a little information (somewhere) that Frank came up
with a Hardware
solution to this issue but I lost track of the information and Franks
little schematic.
I think it has something to do with the NTSC Clock and cartridge Bus port
(only on the cartridge itself apparently). This may have been just a
simple bodge wire or more
hardware changes to the PCB.

If anyone has experienced this I would really like to know of any fixes.

Again the Datel works just fine with the European Pal Midi but the NTSC
just wont even
recognize it at all. :-(
