1571 (128D) spindle speed adjust?

Hi all,
is it just me or there isn't a clear way to check and adjust the
spindle speed on an internal drive of the 128D?
The drive is still quite marginal but I can't find any way to either
check or adjust the spindle speed which should be 300 rpm as always.
