Hey thank for the info you answered my question the bozos on
xilinx never did reply to questions about ASIC.  I was told that the Vivado
software could recreate the approximated gates etc, but cannnot interface
with the older 8-bit circuit, but are there ways around that, can adapters
be fabricated to solve this problem or just using different software?

Yeah I need to concentrate on learning code and the basic simple projects
first, I already paid a fair amount of dollars for a project board--->
 Digilent Artix7 so Just learning learning,
cool I know I can rely on true Comodore hackers to more fully help.

So far I like the Digilent forum than Xilinx.  :)

Bare with me im a newbie, thanks all for your answers.
