Could it be that you're running PAL games on an NTSC machine? AFAIK most
cracked games downloadable on the net are PAL versions. It could be that
some games need the longer time between raster redraws you get in
a PAL C64. The default setting in VICE is PAL, so this may explain why they
work in VICE and not on your real C64.
