I wouldnt "intercept" anything in the normal sense, I'd just use my own
routines in 1541-RAM to handle all the needs. (You get your own routines there
via the usual m-w and m-e commands). All you really need is more RAM for the
1541, such as in DolphinDos IMHO.
I plan to use an Atmel AVR to get all data from serial and parallel bus; the
atmel could send the data over using USB or parallel port...
