Rather that create some new format that would require its own tools, I would
suggest that you adopt the 16MB format of a CMD drive. Format details are
available, but essentially Track 1 sectors 0-33 for dir/BAM for disk
regardless of how many tracks the disk has. I can send you an image of such
a partition created by DriveGhost. CBMDISK can read the main directory, and
a German fellow is working on Windows based tool.
