That's why I posted the question here. The risk of getting into trouble
for publishing material like this is probably minimal. Case in point:
all the copyrighted material (some of it from Compute!) over at
Project64. I've never heard of any problems there, and they've been at
it for years.
But still, I think the right thing to do is to wait until I hear from
the author. If I don't hear from him in a reasonable amount of time I
feel free to conclude that he doesn't care and publish it just the same.
