This and the rest of the discussion is the whole reason I connect my various
C= devices to another LPT-port then the onboard port. The only problem is
that I collected various LPT-cards for this purpose but nowadays mobos don't
support ISA anymore :(
Anyway, a small program started in autoexec.bat puts the dataport of the
found LPT-ports in inputmode. I know that during POST things can clash but
the TTL-IC's on those LPT-cards can bare that easy.
