Why don't you use 6502s rated for higher frequencies rather than
overclocking 1MHz parts? Probably it's safer and you won't destroy anything
:-)
For example, a 6502 C is rated for 4MHz (the only one I've ever seen is
installed in my VIC 20, underclocked to 1MHz).
