Yes it is.  It's called "halftracks" and has been used for copy
protection.  Some of the tracks were shifted a halftrack up or down.  You
can't use more than 35-40 tracks though.  When reading a halftrack as a
normal track, alot of bit errors will appear, and thus not allowing a
