Welllll... I'll have to check it at home, but I am 99% sure that I've had
them both active before.

I think Robin used a similar setup a while back when writing some PPP
code, and vaguely recall that debugging was very difficult because doing a
freeze would trigger the swiftlink and drop data.  But in both cases this
is my memory we're talking about, and there is a reasonable probability
that I'm remembering stuff totally wrong.

For programming swiftlink, btw, the best thing is surely to use the
Craig Bruce routines in swiftlib.
