A520 and (RE: RGB->VGA converter)

RGB or RGBI (that is digital or analog source?)
I have a tiny adaptor for the Amiga that seems all to have in it is a MC1377
chip. 23pin D connector on one side, 15pin VGA connector on the other. I've
never tested it but assumed it to be a RGB (analog) to VGA adaptor.

Regarding the A520 "modulator", I've often wondered whether it can be used
as a VGA (640x480) to TV adaptor, but never tried. Is the Amiga a 15.5kHz
frequency? or so some of the other modes take it to 31kHz.

To connect an RGBI signal a resistor ladder should give you "analog"
equivalents. Right?
