Yes, that's true.

But, it's very hard to do that with the built-in parallel port of a laptop.
;-)

I only wanted to tell you what I achieved in a "real-life" application so
that we can check if 1 MHz would be possible. I believe you want to make
something like this "digital oscilloskope", don't you?
