Hi all,

Some years ago I discovered Tim Harris in the UK sells some Commodore gear.
Tim sells the older Datel Midi interface so I bought one, but sadly the
Datel isnt
recognized.

In the USA there was the Compute Gazette Sid Collection a guy there by the
name of
Frank Prindle I know that was 30 years ago. Frank Prindle discovered the
issue why
the Datel wont work with NTSC C64's. I accidently some years ago stumbled
onto a text file
where Frank drew up a schematic of a fix for this issue. But you know how
that goes I lost track of that text file and I cannot find it anywhere.

Does anybody know of that fix? I do have a small amount of that
information, just not the schematic. I believe it has something to do with
the C64 clock and the C64 NTSC Bus speed,
and I think that may be a bodge wire, there is no mention if you cut any
traces, etc.

I think Frank Prindle was heavily into Midi he created some 6-voice Sid
songs, that was in the
older Compute Sid collection, and maybe most of you folks in Europe may not
have heard of this, well there was tons of this Sid music on Quantum Link.

I appreciate anyone that might remember anything about this, if not its
not a big deal.
Thanks.

Terry Raymond
