I hate to suggest it because generally speaking, I don’t smoke.  But… I have had considerable success firing a private tweet at the custom service twitter account for a given company after failing dismally at every other form of contact. It has worked better for me to tweet at the concierge address for Hyatt than to repeatedly call the concierge and front desk at the hotel I was at, which is ridiculous.  It is the only reason I even have a twitter account...
