I did my own tests. You are right, something is not working at the
moment.

I did the following to work-around the problem for now:

1. Make sure you have a formatted 1571 disk (two-sided)!

2. cbmctrl pcommand 8 "u0>m1"  ---- switch to 1571 mode

3. cbmctrl dir 8               ---- make sure the disk is read

4. d64copy -2 VDCDEMO.D71 8    ---- write the image to the 1571 image


I will investigate in more detail what is going on, and try to fix it.
