Because I don't get empty pages. I already got all the files in question from the archives but I re-checked the original link now and.. apparently it doesn't want to serve pages to my location/ip/whatever. When I connect from another location (over VPN) then it shows the pages. Well... another possibility is that it calls into some other domain(s), which my local DNS doesn't know about or something as the symptoms are similar to such cases - long delay and eventually empty page with correct favicon.
