For leaf sockets, it would work fine.  For machine pin sockets, I just 
checked, and the spacing is off by 1/2 a machine pin's width (.25mm or 
.001").  It would probably fit OK, but not perfect.

Of course, Commodore never used machined pin sockets and few users would 
replace with a machine pin socket, so the issue would not be too pronounced.
