Perhaps that is as expected if it was useful, practical to install and fairly priced. I suppose there were plenty of BASIC extensions everywhere. I've documented/archived the BEE series by Jan Eén Programkonsult, Sweden which seems to have existed for 3000, 8000 and possibly also CBM-II systems. Last time I checked he still was alive.
