Hi Rob, I tested in a machine with original ROMs = Basic 1 and I also tested in a PET with ram/rom board switched to basic1 and revised Basic1. The screen gets blank and the tape stops, but no cursor walks around the screen and no LED lights. Some time ago I had one PET where the test works...
