The idea was to develop my own file system that could handle more than 16 MB, the max the original FS could handle, but then came 1541Ultimax, SD2IEC and various other HDD platforms and interest of other people disappeared: in the last four years I only got one request for information. And having a lot of (read: too much) other interesting projects, I stopped further development. If you are really interested in developing subdirectories for the 1541 and other drives, I will see what I can dig up on information.
