Actually the link points to funet.  When I run the program in x64 (with
true 1541 drive emulation enabled), it aborts with "uebertragungsfehler".
When I added a breakpoint at line 145 and examined the memory at
$6000-$7fff, it appeared that VICE uses a patched 1541 ROM image.  The
same error message appears when I load the correct 901226-05 image in the
built-in monitor of x64 before continuing the program.

It is easy to build such an adapter, but I would prefer to get this image 
to work first.  I'd really appreciate it if you could get the image
generator program from the 64'er CD for me (or even generate the image on
a real C64).
