I have source files, created via disassembly, for the ROMs in a C64. The
source files are setup for assembly by an assembler that allows conditional
assembling. By changing a single label, the output can match the ROMs in the
SX64 and all 3 versions of the C64. The source has comments but they are not
very extensive.
