Which are those? I remember that some 'combined' waveforms of the 6581
are quiet, and some (maybe sawtooth+triangle; it has been a long time)
have quite complicated formulae. Has anyone derived the formulae for
these waveforms? (The noise waveform of the 6581 was analyzed in detail
by Asger Alstrup in 1994 or 1995.) BTW, is the 8580 noise waveform
identical to the 6581?

And while we are at it: has anyone analyzed the VIC-20 waveforms? I think
the oscillators there can have some internal state that cannot entirely be
reset via the CPU accessible registers.
