Another thing you could try is deleting/formatting track 1-9 or 1-10
using a 96TPI PC drive, or deleting track 1-4/1-5 using a 48TPI
commodore or PC drive.

Is the correctly formatted part of the disk full? If not, you might be
able to move any data on track 11 and nearby to a higher track, and
delete (or MFM format) a slightly too large area on the disk.


Worst case you could start a format on the disk in an 8250/SFD1001 with
the disk upside-down and open the drive lid in the exact right moment.
The success rate of this is probably rather low, but might be worth a
try :)
