I heard that too. And that the bigger chip makes it economically un-viable. Unfortunately my experience in this field is still far too shallow to verify this claim. Even if I already went from "I need much bigger chip" to "hm, I have still more than half of the chip available" in one project ;-) In any case if this is really true, I would do it with bigger one, even if only as a PoC.
