I was 100% referring to DMA in terms of the CPU. I wasn't expecting you 
to use the ATA Ultra DMA 33mhz modes or anything to gain extra speed.

What ATA PIO/DMA mode to use for the transfer is an implementation 
issue. The extra control signals in the ATA DMA modes may or may not be 
useful.
