ok, then out of curiosity, if anyone happens to know: why only 1541C
seeks to track 1 at reset?

no it does not seek to track 18, but if I read the error channel after
reset, it gives an error 20 (without the error light flashing
though),but I didn't record on what track/sector. I have to repeat the
test with the -02 firmware.

I'll check the CLK and DATA inputs on the 6522 and see what it thinks
they are at reset.

Thanks
