well, this little gpib to adapter costed me maybe 20 euro in parts
(including an osh-park set of PCBs that I re-designed myself to use
the connectors and parts that I already hthe ad) and it serves well to
interface also to all the other gpib instruments that I have.
So I figured out it would be nice to write some simple software to
also test ieee drives, but turns out that I need quite some time to
understand how the drive protocol work.... Nothing is free in this
life ;)

I have a 2001 that I'm repairing, maybe I'll test the 3040 with it
once it's fixed.
