True, but without driving it high there is a better chance it may fit into my budget for the item and I actually don't lose.

I don't want to react. I don't want to give in to FOMO/gambling. I set my budget and that's it. Very rarely I may reconsider if I don't know the market value yet and I see that the interest is much higher than I anticipated. It is very rare though.

Not really. Many times I was thankful to myself that I didn't "react" because later auctions went for much lower prices. This may not apply to C65s though ;-)

Depends how you define badly. I want a C65 badly. But not *that* badly. It's not even that I couldn't afford the prices I see. It's just that my "badly" lies in four figures range. And I believe that is already more than badly enough for a practically useless piece of equipment.
