That is the reason you should always have buffers in for example a VGA
adapter. I always recommend people to use the screws to keep a VGA
connector not falling halfway off from an Amiga, while at the same time
not using the screws for the VGA connector. That way if the cable is
pulled it will disconnect at the place where there is no risk of
destroying Agnus.

B.t.w. "I've heard" that if you hook up a monochrome analogue monitor
with separate sync inputs and just connect the sync signals to the RGB
port and use ground and video from the mono port, and you have
ungrounded sockets for 230V, and both the Amiga and the monitor has
line filters on the mains side, your fat agnus will be destroyed if the
mono RCA connector is disconnected leaving only the sync signals but no
signal ground connected.

Interesting! Then it seems like I might have been wrong all the time,
and beeing so sure of what I believed that I convinced both Pasi and
silverdr to agree on what's actually wrong. :) :)
