Sorry if this is edging off-topic, but does anyone know if this unit
were ever reverse engineered?

It's an interface for Sharp PC-1500, one of those small pocket
computers, a bit larger than a walkman, one line LCD display, basic
interpreter e.t.c.

This interface gives one centronics parallell port but it also gives a
C= compatible IEC port, intended for use with a 1541.

As I own both some IEC drives and a PC1500 (or maybe it's 1500A, they
are rather similar) it would be nice to make a replica of this
interface.

I assume the hardware is simple but the software is hard to find a copy
of.
