Boise is happy to do so.  He would need the HW emulated in VICE (he said 
he does not relish doing dev on a real SP9000 :-), but it would not be 
that big of an effort.  A small driver for the 8050/8250/SFD drives, 
screen driver, and some small nits to handle the task switching.  If the 
6809 for C64/C128/VIC-20 and the SuperPET designs were reasonably 
similar, he could whip both up.

As I just implemented the required MMU for OS/9 L2 in another project, I 
might yet be able to provide help.

But, for starters, I will get the OS9 board online.  It is dirt simple, 
and so should take only a few macrocells.

What dev toolchain you using for your CPLD?
