Please remember that the DVD signal is most probably "correct" (or close to) and the C128 signal is certainly "incorrect". Therefore this is by no means an indicator of what the Y<->C timing difference actually is. You plasma might waiting for the correct second field before making a decision to output things. It never gets it so it "decides" to output "whatever" for example.
